Arrive at Milan for the transfer to Lake Como.
Friday 20th May
Como – Colico (147 km; 3001m of climbing)
The biggest day, with the Passo San Marco at an elevation of 1992m. This is the mountain pass that links Val Brembana with Valtellina, and is situated in Lombardy and at 24 km will test the best of legs. We finish back on the shores of Lake Como, where David will meet us for pre dinner drinks followed by dinner.
Saturday 21st May
Colico – Lago di Como (118 km; 2566m of climbing)
Ride with David Millar on a day for the Italian aficionado, with the climb of the Madonna del Ghisallo, which features every year in the Giro di Lombardi. This will take us to the chapel and cycling museum at the top. The 2nd climb of the day will include the legendary “wall of Sormano”, a 2km climb with some sections at 25%.
Pre dinner drinks and dinner with David Millar.
Sunday 22nd May
Lago di Como – Verbania (95km; 1627m of climbing)
The shortest day in the saddle at approximately 95 km and another chance to ride with David Millar. There is the stunning Parco Regionale di Campo de Fiori , followed by the 9.5 km average 8.2 % Passo de Cuvignone. We then head to the Spa hotel and pack our bags and have a late lunch with David on the shorefront, before heading to the airport.
The final transfer leaves at the hotel at 1800hrs for flights leaving Milan airport from 2100hrs.
